What To Look For In Your Shore Rental

Planning your week adventure at the shore can be an exciting time, but if you’ve never done it before or if your last trip did not turn out as expected, you might be a little nervous at investing in another shore trip. Have no fear. By keeping a few key considerations in mind, you can be sure that your trip down the shore will be the fantastic getaway you’ve been daydreaming of.

Have Easy Beach Access

In an ideal situation, you will want to have relatively easy access to the beach.  While it’s true that you can find affordable rentals a short drive away, your vacation time will be far more enjoyable if you can easily walk or bike to the nearest beach location. Yes, it will mean spending a few extra dollars – but you will be glad you did!

Visit The House In Person, If Possible

For those of you coming in from several states away this might not be possible, but if you have the ability to pay your chosen house a visit before you rent, do so. By and large most Ortley Beach real estate is in a nice location and will be very comfortable, but it’s a good idea to ensure the house has adequate parking, there are a few stores close by, and that your view won’t be the back wall of a Laundromat.

Bring Your Groceries With You

Whether you’re renting Ortley Beach real estate or a hotel room in Wildwood or a condo in Point, you’re going to want to keep the fridge stocked for those times when you’re not eating out. The problem you might run into is that most of the shopping available to you may be convenience stories – and you pay extra for that convenience! Full grocery stores may be a little further drive away, and may be more expensive than at home. Better to pack the basics and bring them with you. It will save you the hassle of a trip and will likely save you some money, too.

Know Where The Night Spots Are

This applies whether you enjoy the shore nightlife or want to avoid it. If you enjoy the shore night life, you’ll want to know the best places to go and will want to ensure you have an easy way to get there (because drinking and driving is a bad idea at the shore). Most shore towns have taxi services, but it’s even better if you can simply walk to the club, bar, or other venue you plan to frequent. If you don’t want to be immersed in the active night life, renting Ortley Beach real estate or another quieter, more low key shore town is your best bet. You don’t want to hear the crowds and noise, especially not at one am.

The bottom line is that a vacation at the Jersey Shore is almost always a great time, but it’s an even better time if you take a few moments to plan things out, know the area where you’ll be staying, and get prepared for a fun week in the sun.
